Kiwanis NY-LISCW Key Club Alert

*Summer Divisional ~
Wednesday August 13, 7 PM @ GC-Tech (Levittown Memorial). *On Abbey Lane, in Levittown. This is actually one of the more important divisionals. All clubs should be represented! A representative from the Bio Blitz will be coming down to speak about the event we will be doing in September! Also this will be our last divisional before school starts back up, so it is very important to attend.

*LISC Mini Golf Tournament ~
Due to the weather, the golf tournament will now be Thursday, August 21, 7 PM @ Eisenhower Park. Tickets are $12 for youth and $20 for adults. Come down for some mini golf with some friends and family and support the K-Family! *Mets player Bud Harrelson will be there as well!

*Divisional Rally ~
Saturday September 13 @ Old Bethpage Resoration Village. Divisions 4,5,6, and 7 will be doing a huge rally together! We will participate in the Memory Walk that morning (8:30), and then do workshops after the walk. Lunch will be provided. * Officers and members will be trained here for the upcoming year ! All should attend. *Volunteers are needed for the Memory Walk. Please e-mail me back if you wish to volunteer.

*BioBlitz ~
Friday September 19 and  Saturday September 20 in Meadowbrooke. It's a 24-hour event in which teams of scientists, volunteers, and community members join forces to find, identify, and learn about as many local plant and animal species as possible in order to claim the area a Wild Life Preserve. This is going to be a HUGE event in the community. We are not staying the full 24 hours, but rather a few hours each day. There will be someone coming down to talk about this event at my divisional on the 13th. You have to register online before hand. I will e-mail out instructions on how to do so shortly .

*Paper Work ~
Thanks to all of the clubs that send in their paper work regurally! Please remember to send in those Monthly Report forms even in the summer months. You can now send in the MRF's online which makes it so much easier! So no excuses, log onto www.nydkc.org and go to the club resources section to fill out the paper work. You'll have to make them up later in the year if you don't do them now!

I'll see everyone at the divisional!!!

Yours in Service,
Robin Kornstein
Lt. Governor- Division 6
