Chapter 1797 - 1796 - Grypwolf Storm
Chapter 1797 - 1796 - Grypwolf Storm
The incident of the Existential Tribulation echoed outward far beyond Lind’s expectations. He had known of them intellectually but as he lacked a race memory, he did not truly grasp what it meant to the beast races.
The krakens and leviathans, as well as many other Void Ocean races, came inland to see the new race.
It caused chaos on a scale no power could cope with! The 3 Divine Lords had to whip things into shape. Lind appreciated the help as he did not want to call on his personal forces. It would cause more issues than he wanted on top of what was happening.
Thankfully, the storm caused by Ryl hid his involvement for the most part.
Until Sun showed up.
The thrice cursed monkey brought Kora, Chu, and Ethry with him! They brought their own forces as well! Lind was deciding how tasty monkey meat might be when the group arrived.
The golden Master Tier shivered all of a sudden as Lind stared daggers at him. His 3 wives were amused but then became serious as they came to him.
[Husband, what have you done now?]
[Beloved, you promised to send more messages!]
[Lind, who is that?]
The 3 voices hit him at once. Chu was amused in general and accused him of causing chaos. Kora was a bit petulant but things had become a bit hectic in the last few decades. Ethry made him completely banish all other thoughts as she looked harshly at Ryl.
Ryl, for a change, hid behind him. Almost everyone else hardly intimidated him, but the newly minted Grypwolf seemed to sense danger at last!
[He is the cause of–] Lind paused as he felt a level of tension suddenly drain away from all 3 women. He sighed. What did they think he was doing in the Northern Continent?! He was not looking for yet another wife! EVER!
He had more than enough already!
Sun was suddenly very interested in a far away space as his shoulders were shaking but an emerald tail snapped around him faster than the wind.
"You are not going anywhere." His voice was ice and the 4 of them finally understood Lind was not exactly happy to see them. It was only when the followers knelt down that understanding came over them.
While rumors had been circulating of his location, the continents were massive. Finding a single person was a massive investment to be risked only on rumors. Confirmation, however, was a very different matter.
[Ahem! Do not worry! I had them all swear Oaths to not reveal anything without permission from me.] Sun’s words did not allay his worries. Beasts would ignore humans and demons out of hand trying to find another of their race, let alone a Divine Lord.
Sun, however, was the physical incarnation of mischief!
[If anyone finds me, I will come for you.] The sky rumbled and the monkey True Lord shook visibly.
He then explained his history with Ryl. When they learned of his complicated origin, all 3 women actually looked at him with wonder. The recall of their terrifying aura seemed to have scarred Ryl.
Lind was confused as many beasts had done worse but never intimidated him. What made his wives different?
A thought occurred. He looked around and found the Starstream Wolf Divine Lord. The group moved as one before Lind sighed.
[I need to ask a question, please get to know Ryl.] He then knelt down and saw the quivering dark blue eyes begging not to be left behind. He smiled at him and then pecked the cheek of each of his wives before anyone realized what he had done before returning to his kneeling position.
"Do you understand?" The fear became much less before Ryl carefully began to wag his tail. Sun tried to move in but Ryl vanished and appeared near Ethry first. It made sense with both having draconic connections.
Lind smiled and left the group behind. He heard Sun whining about them hoarding the new beast’s attention.
The smoky eyes seemed to find him in the crowd and other beasts instinctively parted a path for them both. The pair quickly moved to an area where an isolation barrier could be erected.
It was only then that Lind realized he did not actually know her proper name. He sighed at his rudeness and apologized. His words made her blink slowly before she began to giggle.
"Is that why you wanted to see me, Divine Lord Lind Frey?" He sighed again but then pointed at Ryl. He was currently playing some kind of game with Chu in her draconic tiger form. It seemed a similar mix made Ryl very happy.
"He showed no fear to anyone until my 3 wives arrived. Does that have something to do with our pack bond?" His words made the Starstream Wolf suddenly focus on him fiercely.
"Pack bond?! How do you have a pack bond?!" He was nearly pushed back by the intensity. He quickly relayed what he had learned and what happened during the Existential Tribulation.
Her eyes went wider and wider before she stumbled back and nearly fell! He caught her but she did not even seem to notice. What was going on?
"Wha–wha–what have you done?" Her words only deepened his confusion as she suddenly summoned a rather complex communication artifact. It was a large metal disc embedded with jade stones and elemental crystals.
It was bit clunky but it was an inter-realm communication artifact. So long as someone had a receiver in the Immortal Realm or even the Heaven Realm, it was possible to contact them from the Divine Lands.
It was prohibitively expensive to make and wore out fairly quickly compared to a normal communication stone. A normal artifact could last for thousands if not millions of years depending on the grade, yet to cross realms was a massive influx of energy.
It was too intense for even Mystery Grade resources to withstand for more than a few thousand years at most.
The artifact in her hands was about in the middle of its life from what his experienced eyes could tell. However, his own emerald eyes shot wide as she channeled a storm of Qi into it!
The metal frame strained to contain it all! What was she doing?!
Before it shattered, she suddenly stopped. The entire room was now drawn to them as the isolation ward was shattered by her actions.
She slowly turned and looked up at him. Her eyes were full of various emotions but she slowly bowed to the crowd.
[Divine Lord Lind Frey has just informed me of something important. Not only has young Ryl overcome the most terrifying tribulation any of us have ever known, but he is part of the pack of a Divine Lord.] The words caused a large swell of chaos.
Lind did not understand but he saw all 3 of his wives look at him in shock. What was he missing?!
Ethry appeared next to him. She gently took his hands in hers as she seemed to want to prepare him for something.
[Lind, pack animals are very different from other beast races. If Ryl had been on his own, he would have been just the first of many to come in the far future. He would be the beginning alone.] That made perfect sense. He was a progenitor of a new dragon race and had been technically alone until he became an Immortal.
His children had not shared all of his traits and only when he made the Harmonic Dragons did he truly have a race to call his own.
Ryl was not a progenitor like him. From what he had understood, the creation of an entirely new bloodline was already an achievement. Future variations would have progenitors yet all the cultivators were now looking at him in wonder and trepidation.
[What are you saying?] Ethry smiled and her prismatic hair shimmered. She then pointed at his dantian.
[You are the leader of this new pack. You are part of it. Because you are a Divine Lord and all that you have become, they will be everywhere right now.] What?! What did she–?!
Lind suddenly had a shocking thought. His aura shot through the roof and emerald energy began to flood the room. While that was all others saw, he saw a faint line leading right to Ryl.
Ryl also happily chased the line, trying to catch it! However, the moment it touched Ryl, it exploded outward!
It was not the same but it carried an intent! By the spirits, he understood! If Ryl was the template of an entire new range of races, he would inspire Heaven and Earth to slowly add more.
Conditions would have to be met just like any other beast bloodline. In parallel, Ryl would one day mature and procreate with others. It was likely his bloodline would mix or dominate depending on his mates.
Humans would be ideal in that arena but now, it no longer mattered. Ryl was not the pack leader! If the Grypwolves were pack animals, then their beginning would be defined by that pack!
His senses tried to follow but it was too much! It was all lower realms! He finally understood. His Origin Seeds were of all elements! He was the packleader and Ryl was the template!
Everywhere and in all places, grypwolves would be born by manifestation!
A storm of grypwolves was spreading across the realms!
