Chapter 1010: You’ve Found a Great Blood Slave
Chapter 1010: You’ve Found a Great Blood Slave
Lu Ye discovered that the person living inside the dugout was a Human, not a Blood Race member. What was more, she was a beautiful woman.
The woman was frail with a pale face. What bothered Lu Ye wasn’t her health but her belly. The woman had a bulging belly, so it was apparent that she was pregnant.
Met with Lu Ye’s gaze, the woman was flustered and hid in the corner. Lu Ye frowned, but he had no intention of looking into the matter for now. As such, he kept walking forward.
Soon, he realised something was off. Many pregnant women lived in the dugouts. Along the way, he had seen seven to eight such women.
Some of them were not pregnant, but they hid in their dugouts and wouldn’t dare to show up. Without an exception, all of them were beautiful. Lu Ye’s heart grew heavy as speculation formed in his mind.
These women were not the only Humans in Bright Moon Cave Mansion. There was a small number of men as well. They had been captured by the Blood Race members to serve them. These people weren’t even Blood Slaves. When the Blood Race members were injured or whenever they felt like it, they could suck the blood out of these people as they pleased.
As the three of them walked further into the Cave Mansion, the passageway split into many routes. Zhang Julai was familiar with the place, so he led Lu Ye and Dao Thirteen to move in a particular direction. They soon arrived at his room.
The dugout was more spacious than the ones the women lived in, and its environment was much better. The dugout had a door and was covered with an enchantment.
Upon his return, Zhang Julai was finally at ease. He saluted Lu Ye and said, “Sir, this is where I live and cultivate my power.”
He had no idea what to call Lu Ye. He initially called Lu Ye ‘Master’, but the latter hated it, so he could only change it to ‘Sir’.Lu Ye took a seat and asked grimly, “What’s going on with those pregnant women?”
Zhang Julai replied, “They were brought back from nearby villages to please the Holy Race members. Also, they serve as the bearers of our children.”
Lu Ye was looking into the memory of the dead Blood Race member. Things were just like what Zhang Julai had said, so his speculation had been verified.
These women were taken to this place to please the Blood Race members. Although Blood Race members were much taller than Humans, both Races had the same body composition. Moreover, Blood Race members preferred Humans to their own Race. Beautiful women among the Humans were alluring to them as well.
As such, male Blood Race members loved Human women, but they were less interested in women of the same Race. As they forced themselves on these women, some of the women would inevitably become pregnant.
Since the Blood Race had a much stronger bloodline, the children born by these Human women were all Blood Race members. Therefore, Blood Race members had always regarded Humans to be the bearers of their new members. That was why many Humans lived in the Cave Mansions ruled by the Blood Race.
To the Blood Race, Humans were not only property but also a tool to extend their bloodline. It could be said that 90 per cent of Blood Race members in Blood Refinement Boundary were born by Humans.
Once these Blood Race babies were born, they would be sent to a special place to be nurtured.
That was the reason the Blood Race members in Blood Refinement Boundary didn’t live as families. The idea of the family never existed in their culture. Most Blood Race members didn’t even know who their parents were, so how were they supposed to live as families?
Zhang Julai previously left Bright Moon Cave Mansion because a Human woman had given birth to a Blood Race baby, so he was responsible for sending the baby to a particular place.
As Lu Ye listened to Zhang Julai while looking into the dead Blood Race member’s memory, he repeatedly clenched and relaxed his fists.
Realising that Lu Ye was in a bad mood, Zhang Julai wouldn’t even dare to breathe a little louder.
The room was in dead silence. Only a foolish Dao Thirteen looked around.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door from the outside, which was awkward in the dead silence. A shocked Zhang Julai turned to glance at Lu Ye, who looked away.
Zhang Julai then opened the door and saw a young Blood Race member standing outside. His weak cultivation suggested that he was one of the Spirit Creek Realm Masters living in the Cave Mansion. He pressed his hand against his chest and bent his back to salute Zhang Julai before saying, “The Cave Mistress told you to see her.”
Zhang Julai nodded. “I’ll be there right away.”
The Blood Race member looked past Zhang Julai and glanced inside the room before adding, “The Cave Mistress heard you’ve taken on two new Blood Slaves, so she told you to bring them with you as well.”
Zhang Julai’s eyes darkened as he hummed grimly. Only then did the Blood Race member leave the place.
After the door was closed, Zhang Julai glanced at Lu Ye. “Sir, that woman probably has some ill intentions.” As he spoke, he glanced hesitantly at Dao Thirteen.
“What do you mean?” Lu Ye asked.
Zhang Julai appeared embarrassed. “She probably has her eye on this man.”
When it came to beauty standards, male Blood Race members preferred Human women, but it wasn’t the same case for female Blood Race members. Most of them were willing to mate with men of the same Race. Certainly, there were some exceptions.
The Cave Mistress of Bright Moon Cave Mansion, Sun Miaozhu, was such a female Blood Race member.
She always kept some strong Human men taken away from several villages by her side to relieve her loneliness. When she no longer liked them, she would turn them into her blood meals to improve her cultivation.
To her, Humans were no different from livestock, so she could do whatever she wanted to them. No one would dare to rebel against her.
Dao Thirteen had a sturdy figure and ample vitality. Naturally, he would catch Sun Miaozhu’s attention. A Blood Race member had probably informed Sun Miaozhu about Dao Thirteen’s existence, which was why she became aware of it not long after they arrived at the Cave Mansion.
Zhang Julai was already used to it. However, since he was Lu Ye’s Soul Slave now, he had to consider the latter’s feelings.
Moreover, he could tell that Lu Ye didn’t come to Bright Moon Cave Mansion for a stroll. Lu Ye was about to do something major.
As for what the matter was, Zhang Julai wasn’t a fool, so he had some speculation. At that moment, he was anxious and at a loss for what to do.
Lu Ye turned to look at Dao Thirteen and smiled. “Since she has her eye on him, we’ll go and see her, then.”
Zhang Julai then turned around and led the way for them.
They walked further into the Cave Mansion until they arrived at a spacious hall where someone was heard moaning. Lu Ye lifted his head and saw a Blood Race woman lying on her side on a huge stone bed. Her long figure was alluring in the dim light. There were two well-built Human men on the bed. One knelt near her feet to massage her calves while the other knelt behind her to massage her shoulders.
Be it the Blood Race woman or the Human men, they were wearing skimpy clothes, which was inappropriate.
It was apparent that the Blood Race woman was the Cave Mistress of Bright Moon Cave Mansion, Sun Miaozhu.
Zhang Julai stepped forward with Lu Ye and Dao Thirteen and saluted the woman according to the Blood Race’s etiquette. “Greetings, Cave Mistress.”
Sun Miaozhu ignored him and stared fixedly at Dao Thirteen. With a smile, she lifted her hand and crooked her finger at Dao Thirteen. “Come over here.”
Dao Thirteen remained in the same spot. Lu Ye landed a kick on him, after which Dao Thirteen reluctantly walked forward and stopped in front of the stone bed.
Sun Miaozhu sized him up as her interest in the man intensified. She waved her hand, after which the two Human men, who were serving her, stepped aside.
She then rose to her feet and stood in front of Dao Thirteen.
Although Dao Thirteen was a Body-tempering Cultivator, he wasn’t tall. He only had a sturdy figure. When they stood across from each other, Dao Thirteen’s head was at the same level as Sun Miaozhu’s chest.
She extended her hand and gently touched Dao Thirteen’s firm chest. Her breathing suddenly became unstable. Then, she clenched Dao Thirteen’s chin and lifted his head slightly.
After studying the man for a moment, she chuckled. “Zhang Julai, you’ve found a great Blood Slave. He’s mine from now on.”
Zhang Julai replied respectfully, “Since you’ve said so, there’s no problem.”
“You may leave now.” Sun Miaozhu waved her hand. She had never spared Lu Ye a glance.
Lu Ye turned around to leave, followed by Zhang Julai. When they were outside the hall, Lu Ye closed the door and stood there in silence.
Following that, Sun Miaozhu was heard exclaiming from the inside, “What are you doing? Release me!”
Then, a grunt was heard, followed by several thuds. It was as though something heavy had crashed into the ground. Sun Miaozhu shrieked, and some faint fluctuations of Spiritual Power were felt, but they soon subsided.
Lu Ye waited for a while longer. It wasn’t until no more noise was heard coming from the inside that he opened the door and entered the hall. Zhang Julai quickly followed him. When he saw what had happened, his pupils dilated.
Dao Thirteen stood silently beside the stone bed. On the ground lay a long figure who was none other than Sun Miaozhu. She was still a good-looking Blood Race woman earlier, but she was nothing more than some mashed meat now.
It was a wonder what Dao Thirteen had done to Sun Miaozhu. Her corpse was split into several parts. There were dents in her chest and head. The wounds suggested that someone had struck her with a fist.
A puddle of blood had formed beside the stone bed, on which the two young Human men curled up and trembled. That was because they had seen something inconceivable earlier.
Zhang Julai couldn’t help but gulp. He knew that he couldn’t judge the powers of Lu Ye and Dao Thirteen by the fluctuations of their Spiritual Powers. However, he had no idea how powerful the two of them truly were. It wasn’t until now that he found out about it.
Sun Miaozhu, who was the strongest cultivator in Bright Moon Cave Mansion, was killed by Dao Thirteen in a short time. Moreover, Dao Thirteen didn’t look exhausted at all as though he had just slaughtered a chicken.
Even a Real Lake Realm Master couldn’t achieve this.
When Dao Thirteen registered Lu Ye’s presence, he appeared bitter as though he was blaming Lu Ye for leaving him there. Still, he bent his back and dug out the Blood Crystal from Sun Miaozhu’s chest. He wiped the item with his clothes and passed it to Lu Ye.
He knew that the item was immensely useful to Lu Ye.
Sounds of breaking through the air were heard coming from all directions. The other Blood Race members in Bright Moon Cave Mansion must be coming over to look into the matter upon hearing Sun Miaozhu’s scream.
