"so i have crossed your mind again. why didn't you say that elder brother could handle it just now?" xia wen's voice could be heard coming faintly from outside the door.
qiao mei shouted towards the door, "i'm just worried about you!"
"you're just worried about missing out on the action!" xia wen said with a laugh.
the huang family could no longer cause any trouble. xia wen had quietly ensured that all the relatives of the huang family would lose their jobs and be asked to leave the capital. huang mian and huang zhong, the main perpetrators of this incident, were sent to prison. it was said that huang zhong had fallen ill from all the anxiety and stress and that he did not have much time left.
just as everyone was caught up in the discussion, shao yin slowly regained consciousness. she looked at the tattered clothes on her body and turned pale with fright. she hurriedly checked herself for any wounds and was surprised to find that not only were her limbs good and well, her skin even looked fairer than usual!
